Editorial Policy
Research Standards
Every article published on Market Histories is based on peer-reviewed research, primary sources, and established historical scholarship. We draw from academic journals, institutional publications, and contemporaneous accounts to build accurate, well-sourced narratives of financial events.
Fact-Checking
Every factual claim is cross-referenced against its cited sources before publication. When sources conflict, the article notes the disagreement rather than selecting one account over another. We do not publish material that relies on unverified claims or data that cannot be independently checked.
Corrections
If a published article contains a factual error, a misrepresentation of source material, or a citation that cannot be verified, we correct it promptly and note the correction with an updated modification date. If you spot an error, please let us know through the contact page.
Independence
Market Histories is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any financial institution, brokerage, fund, or investment advisory firm. Researchers and institutions cited in articles have no editorial input or approval over content. The site is funded by advertising revenue.
What We Don't Publish
Market Histories does not publish investment advice, trading signals, price predictions, or sponsored content. The purpose of this publication is historical understanding, not financial guidance. Nothing published here should be interpreted as a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security.
